Thus did heroes five
Beat the dragon that day
Thus did heroes five

Dorian Fungaltongue,
Our Dishrag the Brave.
Wet ’round the ears
Yet his all he still gave.

The silvertongued Bhardos
Fought by Dishrag’s side
Bravely they fought
And bravely they died

He wakened the dragon
With a swing that sore missed
Then struck once again
The wounded wyrm hissed.

Thus did heroes five
Wake the dragon that day

Escaped the Pit of the Dying
Turned a War’tode to bone
Twas Dishrag’s decision
To face the monster full on

Though with the voice of a dragon
He put frog legs to flight
A true dragon’s rage
Snuffed out his light

Then once more poor Bhardos
Sought to cause the beast harm
The dragon bit hard
And tore off his arm.

Thus did heroes five
Feed the dragon that day
Thus did heroes five

As life dimmed from their eyes
High up on a ledge
New heroes three thought
Height gave them an edge

While dragon gnawed on
Bhardos’ arm with a smile
Zayn Carthin’s bolt flew
But missed by a mile

Meldor Ironforge,
Zayn Carthin, Pigsnout
New heroes three
Who bravely ran out

Thus did Heroes five
Flee the dragon that day
Thus did heroes five

When the dragon inhaled
With lightning to fry
It choked on the arm
In its mouth and did die

Their tale at an end
Three heroes live on
Along with a moral
Gleaned from Silvertongue

The vengeance of Bhardos
From the grave teaches still
If a dragon doth eat thee
Make it choke on the meal!
