Fenris Fairweather [Sessions #1-2]

As Fenris, he awoke with Fizzle the Elf Wizard, Kerla Chog the Human Fighter, Cullos Crowbane the Human Wizard, and Jotun Yggdrassil the Dwarf Cleric in the PRISON HOLDING CELLS. Their escape attempt was so fraught with bumbling self-injury that the silently observing Cuisses de Grenouille considered it a kindness to extort them for a magical key. His opportunistic intervention came too late to prevent Fizzle from miscasting a Charm spell and fighting against them.

At the appearance of an Ipsimus, they retreated into the PRISONER STORAGE ROOM, whereupon the rogue fell through a pit trap to his death.

The incident was immortalized in Dandylion Discord‘s poem, “Fenris the First Fallen.”

Davroar Hollysword [Sessions #3-14, 16-31, 37, 39-43]

After his death, the Mad God Moriarty resurrected him into the body he had originally inhabited before the Moriarty magically kidnapped he and his comrades. Making Davroar a Cleric of Moriarty, the deity returned him to the TEMPLE OF WANJO, where he awoke in the EXAMINATION ROOM and was reunited with Cullos, Fizzle and Kerla Chog.

Their explorations led them back to the GUARD ROOM where they exacted vengeance upon the Wart’ode jailer. Their further wanderings led them to the ROOM OF EIGHT at the heart of the magical maze within the TEMPLE OF WANJO. Eventually, it spit them out in the LIBRARY, where Davroar’s Chaos Bolt successfully destroyed an Ipsimus. Shortly afterward, they were routed by Wart’odes and cornered back in the GUARD ROOM. There, Davroar cast a Janusian Blessing upon Zaptongue Half-Dragon. Cullos died instantly and the room caved in, depositing them back in the EXAMINATION ROOM. Everyone except Kerla Chog, buried in the debris, was captured by Wart’odes under the command of Zaptongue and Captain Gurglepuss.

After being fit with thrall collars to prevent them from harming Wart’odes, the adventurers were sent into the TEMPLE PRISON to scout ahead.

A vision from an impatient Moriarty interrupted his quest, whereupon he found himself alone in the TEMPLE PRISON with Zayn Carthin the Elf Rogue-Paladin of Hero and Meldor Ironforge the Dwarf Wizard.  The Wart’odes and their other fellow captives were missing.

After discovering Nathan Garney the Human Cleric of Everly in a trunk in the GUARD SLEEPING QUARTERS and being reunited Kerla Chog, they ventured into the TIDELANDS. They were welcomed by bushwackys, whom they defeated.

After being reunited with Jotun Yggdrassil, Davroar sought direction from Moriarty and was instructed to enter SMUGGLER SPEAK to continue his quest. Their exploration was cut short at the sounds of battle from the DINING HALL, where three Fighters, Acindor the Human, Weddumlir Aleshield the Dwarf, and Thril Wolfsbane the Elf, were quickly finding themselves overwhelmed by the Corrupted. After a quick but furious battle, the Corrupted were vanquished, but not before Thril and Zayn Carthin were turned into the monsters and slain.

After a much-needed rest, Davroar and his comrades were accosted by the goddess Oxenbane, who returned the ghost of Thril Wolfsbane, recently slain in the encounter with the Corrupted, and set them upon a quest to end the corruption of SMUGGLER  SPEAK and locate the husks of Thril and Zayn Carthin the Arbiter of Hero to reunite them with their spirits.

Finding their way to the SANCTUARY OF EVERLY, they encountered and fought a Corrupted Basilisk. Afterward, they discovered a Cuervos who identified himself as Nobody. Interrogations of the creature were cut short when Acindor took Nobody’s hat, which turned out to be a Mimic Familiar. A brief skirmish led to the creature forming itself into a brane, an organic portal to the Cuervos’ Soul Sieve within the CHAMBER OF CORRUPTION. The Cuervos within defended their domain savagely, resulting in the death of Acindor. Acindor’s death so near the portal to the Realm of B.O.B. attracted the attention of B.O.B. the god of death and lost things himself, at which point Moriarty teleported his cleric away from the conflict briefly.

After returning him to the fight, Davroar retrieved the Star Sapphire from the husk of Zayn Carthin and then helped his comrades defeat the CHAMBER OF CORRUPTION.

Afterward,  they visited the SKY BAZAAR of SMUGGLER SPEAK as heroes. After striking a deal with Azrael the Alchemist, he and his party entered the TEMPLE MINES to retrieve lost materials at the behest of the SKY BAZAAR merchants.

Unfortunately,  the adventurers stepped into a fey ring leading to the ELDERWYLD.   Narrowly escaping being devoured by a house mimic, they exited the ELDERWYLD and found themselves in a quarantined section of FARRAGO‘s CAERULEUM SECTOR. They were able to escape the quarantined island of SAINT ALBANS by using the sewers.

Escaping into the subterranean CATACOMBS, they made their way to the CHAPEL OF WANJO and the above ground island of MIDDLEBOROUGH, where Davroar had his first experience with a CHAOSIUM. Spying their faces on wanted posters, they tried to pass by unnoticed but were instead chased off the island by an angry mob of Redforges. On PEVENSIE ISLAND, they were ushered through a magical door to CLAW ISLAND by Fizzle the Fifth

After spending a night at the EXCELSIOR,  the adventurers made their way to the ROSE COLISEUM, where they met the god Gilgamesh and Gnome Shanarock the Dwarf Rogue, the chosen Champion of the Nylbolgia in the forthcoming Gotternacht Games.

Making their way to PEACOCK ISLAND on a quest to rid Nathan Garney of his assassin’s mark, the adventurers ⁰squared off against an orc warband called the Fearless in order to restore power to the PEACOCK ISLAND DOCKS and the tram up the mountains to Obscurus‘ MANSION. Thril Wolfsbane was killed by the Fearless’ ettin champion during the fight, but Davroar avenged his fallen comrade.

Afterward, the survivors of a shipwreck joined their quest: Del Erenaeth the Elf Monk, Fil the Half-Elf Cleric of Zephyr, Oberyx the Half-Elf Warlock oathbound to Fulgar,  and Zook Bafflestone the Gnome Artficer. The other castaways chose to remain at the DOCKS.

That night, Davroar received a blessing of fearlessness from Shettebrek, god of fear and panic, for his part in defeating the Fearless and restoring operations on PEACOCK ISLAND.

The morning brought an unexpected rain of fish. Seeing flying scavengers descending for a feeding frenzy, the party made their way speedily to the front gates, which miraculously opened seemingly of their own accord. A band of kobold welcomed them, their bard having watched Davroar and the others battle the Fearless. After a song in Davroar’s honor naming him the Hero of Shettebrek, they sent them headlong into a pit, which they were assured led to the tower they needed to reach. After exploring a CELLAR, they emerged back into the morning sun where they were joined by castaways Kaid the Goliath Barbarian, Kudac the Half-Orc Cleric of Baldnoggin, David the Half-Elf Wizard and newcomer, Sionna the Simic Hybrid Bard. He noted with surprise that Gnome Shanarock was also with them.

The kobolds proved treacherous,  attacking them from behind and driving them into a large tent. There,  the party was confronted by Pyrrha Imperium and her wyrmlings. The red dragon was chained by an imprisonment spell, but was still formidable enough to force the party to negotiate. Davroar learned of the existence of Moriarty’s native god of chaos, Master Chaos, currently imprisoned by the Lords of the Seven Worlds. After Davroar used his Key of Opening to free Pyrrha, she drew a Portal Circle on the ground and sent the party and her wyrmlings through to her LAIR, though she herself could not fit on her dragon form.

Enroute, the party was intercepted by the magical gravitas of one of Obscurus’ permanent portal circles, so they were deposited in Obscurus’ RELIQUARY instead of Pyrrha’s LAIR. There, the party learned more about the Prophecy of the Starkiller and the Plates of Farcevolt.

Amid the confusion of a ratipede ambush, the party did not at first notice that Davroar was not with them when they left the RELIQUARY.

Unbeknownst to his comrades, Moriarty had pulled him into a dreamscape where Davroar could still see some of his cohorts, but every choice they made was governed by Isfet, the avatar of Master Chaos, whom  Moriarty had summoned Davroar to destroy. He defeated Isfet after a 13 year war, taking his hand as a trophy, but he was unable to kill him. This was partly because he was busy rescuing Zephyr, the lost member of the Aeon, the godhead who rules Nubis. Zephyr had been imprisoned by Isfet since the first star fell in accordance with the Prophecy of the Starkiller. During their escape, he learned that Wanjo was similarly imprisoned in an enchantment elsewhere. He also learned Apophis’ greatest weakness, but it was erased from his memory when he left the dreamscape.

He found himself in the EXAMINATION ROOM in the TEMPLE OF WANJO on CAERULEUM.  While searching the body of Cullos Crowbane for the Star Sapphire in his possession, he was approached by an old librarian, Dumplin Ages the Halfling Barbarian, Lightfingers the Elf Rogue, Nellson Williams the red Tiefling Artificer with a robotic left arm and his steel defender gorilla CupcakeNikolas the brass Dragonborn Fighter, Pigsnot the Elf Fighter, Eondul the Human Wizard, Meldor Ironforge the Dwarf Wizard,  Nathan Garney the Human Cleric of Everly, and Kudac the metal-jawed Half-Orc Cleric of Baldnoggin. He did not immediately see his old comrades but, having met such creatures in the dreamscape, he did recognize the old librarian for the Rakshasa Sorcerer he was. Shelby immediately shed his disguise but his proximity to Davroar caused the latter to raise his defenses. Davroar was briefly banished to Tiamat’s Lair. Upon returning, he cast a divine spell to create an illusionary decoy of himself and stole away under a cloak of invisibility.

During this altercation, Lightfingers opened an accursed book resulting in an ominous-sounding gong.

After making his way into the WAR’TODE TUNNELS, Davroar surveyed the WAR’TODE ENCAMPMENT. As the others arrived and made plans to open CAERULEUM’s WATER PORTAL to FARRAGO, he bided his time. At the opportune moment, he unleashed the Glory of Moriarty, causing everyone on the battlefield to exchange places. He found himself teleported to the WATER PORTAL PLATFORM. There he fought side-by-side with Nathan Garney, Shelby, Dumplin Ages, Acindor and Acindor’s newly reunited wife Melissa until the Portal could be opened.

Once the Portal was opened, he stepped through.
