I-am-not the Kobold Wizard (Sessions #29-34)
I-am-not the Kobold Wizard slipped into the tent of the red dragon Pyrrha Imperium and quietly joined the party. While he stayed in the background while the others explored the RELIQUARY, he was able to banish the ratipede temporarily when the party split and the monster beset Weddumlir Aleshield the Dwarf Fighter, Acindor the Human Fighter, Odin Thunderhammer the Dwarf Fighter, and Sionna the Simic Hybrid Bard, allowing them to escape and follow their comrades through a portal in the ARBORETUM to the LIBRARY; however, he was unaware of the means to shut off the portal and the retirement managed to break into the ARBORETUM and follow them through.
In the LIBRARY, they lost Sionna but met Dumplin Ages the Halfling Barbarian and her two death dogs, Nugget/Dogzilla and Bolder/Scourge.
After being joined by Meldor Ironforge the Dwarf Wizard, Nathan Garney the Human Cleric of Everly, and Kudac the Half-Orc Cleric of Baldnoggin, he was instrumental once more on subduing the ratipede; however, his true form as a Rakshasa Sorcerer was revealed in the process.
Shelby the Rakshasa Sorcerer (Session #35-41)
Once discovered, the rakshasa formerly known as I-am-not continued to aid the team against their foes, despite their suspicions to his true intentions. He freed Weddumlir from the ratipede and helped them fight the Red Circle, but he also stole a book which might be the key to getting them out of Obscurus’ LIBRARY.
Afterward the adventurers were joined by Lightfingers the Elf Rogue, Nellson Williams the red Tiefling Artificer with a robotic left arm and his steel defender gorilla Cupcake, Nikolas the brass Dragonborn Fighter, Pigsnot the Elf Fighter, and Eondul the Human Wizard. The goddess Canon then appeared and forced Shelby (and this was how the adventurers discovered his name) to return the book. Canon then charged Dhelby and the others with opening the Water Portal on CAERULEUM and transported them to the TEMPLE OF WANJO.
After a brief departure, Shelby rejoined the adventurers and disguised himself as an elderly librarian but a Davroar Hollysword the Cleric of Moriarty, returned from a godquest, saw through the disguise when they met in the EXAMINATION ROOM. Davroar escaped for the moment but Lightfingers opened an accursed book during the altercation, resulting in an ominous-sounding gong.
During a brief exchange with one of Thanatar’s scarecrow Heralds, in which Shelby learned that Thanatar laid claim to the souls of those the Red Circle assassinated, Shelby rejoined the adventurers in the LIBRARY of the TEMPLE OF WANJO. Escaping an army of ghouls, they retreated into the WAR’TODD TUNNELS. After surveying, the WAR’TODE ENCAMPMENT, he came to an agreement with Eondul, Meldor Ironforge, Lightfingers, Dumplin Ages, and Nathan Garney to distract the War’todes and get to the PORTAL PLATFORM.
Atop the PORTAL PLATFORM, Meldor used his magical might against their War’tode foes to allow Dumplin enough time to open the Portal, but then found himself facing a zombie tyrannosaur teleported up to them from the ENCAMPMENT below when Davroar Hollysword cast the Glory of Moriarty, sending the battle into further chaos. He successfully banished the z-rex to keep the Portal open and then immediately stepped through it.
