Jotun Yggdrasil [Sessions #1-2, 10-11]
As Jotun, he awoke with Fizzle the Elf Wizard, Kerla Chog the Human Fighter, Cullos Crowbane the Human Wizard, and Fenris Fairweather the Human Thief in the PRISON HOLDING CELLS. Their escape attempt was so fraught with bumbling self-injury that the silently observing Cuisses de Grenouille considered it a kindness to extort them for a magical key. His opportunistic intervention came too late to prevent Fizzle from miscasting a Charm spell and fighting against them.
At the appearance of an Ipsimus, they retreated into the PRISONER STORAGE ROOM, where Jotun found a pair of gauntlets of ogrish strength. During their flight, Fenris fell through a pit trap to his death but the others escaped to the CHAMBER OF THE STONE WIZARD below.
Afterward, while most of the adventurers were having a dream-like audience with the Bard God Hero, Jotun was summoned by the Mad God Moriarty. Sensing his zeal for chaos, Moriarty sent Jotun on a different path from his comrades.
Guided by Moriarty’s hand, he found his way to the TIDELANDS.
He was reunited with Davroar Hollysword the Elf Cleric of Moriarty née Fenris Fairweather, Nathan Garney the Human Cleric of Everly née Cullos Crowbane, and Kerla Chog when he literally dropped from the sky before them. Technically, he was pushed from the top of SMUGGLER SPEAK, a plinth of rock sacred to the twin halfling gods Ridley and Ripley. Following some elusive whispering voices, he’d stumbled on a HIDDEN DOCK. Hiding in a barrel, he was taken high above. Being in a barrel much of the time, he saw little. He survived the later fall with minimal damage, presumably by the favor of the gods. His friends were also accompanied by Meldor Ironforge the Dwarf Wizard and Zayn Carthin the Elf Arbiter (Rogue-Paladin) of Hero. Nathan was suspicious of his tale. After Davroar sought direction from their mutual deity, their party entered SMUGGLER SPEAK to continue their quest.
Their exploration was cut short at the sounds of battle from the DINING HALL, where three Fighters, Acindor the Human, Weddumlir Aleshield the Dwarf, and Thril Wolfsbane the Elf Fighter, were quickly finding themselves overwhelmed by the Corrupted. Though Jotun proved himself an able (if unconventional) foe during the battle and the Corrupted were ultimately vanquished, their efforts were not enough to prevent Thril and Zayn Carthin from being turned into the monsters and slain.
Though they initially joined the others in taking a much-needed rest, Jotun and Kerla Chog eventually got bored and sneaked off to explore on their own while the others slept.
In his exploration of SMUGGLER SPEAK on his quest to free the avatar of Ripley, Nathan Garney discovered graffiti in the INFAMOUS CELL that read “Jotun was here.”
